IGI/Summer:

Dear Island families,

Island Grown Initiative (IGI) is offering free lunch kits for kids this summer, to make sure all families have access to the food they need when school is out.

The program will run from June 30th through August 25th. Each week, families can pre-order customized meal kits for a week’s worth of lunches for each child.

This year we have a new ordering system. Families will need to complete a one-time registration form. Once registered, you will be able to place weekly Meal Kit orders, for as many or as few weeks as your family needs. You will be able to choose from options that include Alpha-gal safe, vegetarian, or vegan meals. The link for the ordering platform can be found on the IGI website.

The ordering window for the first pick up will open this Wednesday, June 17th at 6pm and close on Friday June 19th at 6pm. Meal kits will be available for pickup on the following Tuesday, June 30th at the IGI Kitchen at the Airport Business Park between 3 and 5pm.

If you miss this window, you can always enroll next week, or whenever you need.

A Island Grown Initiative (IGI) está oferecendo kits de almoço gratuitos para crianças neste verão, para garantir que todas as famílias tenham acesso à alimentação de que precisam quando a escola estiver em recesso.

O programa funcionará de 30 de junho a 25 de agosto. A cada semana, as famílias podem fazer pedidos antecipados de kits de refeições personalizados para os almoços da semana de cada criança.

Este ano temos um novo sistema de pedidos. As famílias precisarão preencher um formulário de cadastro único. Após o cadastro, você poderá fazer pedidos semanais de Kits de Refeição, para quantas semanas sua família precisar. Você poderá escolher entre opções que incluem refeições seguras para alfa-gal, vegetarianas ou veganas. O link para a plataforma de pedidos pode ser encontrado no site da IGI.

A janela de pedidos para a primeira retirada abrirá nesta quarta-feira, 17 de junho, às 18h, e fechará na sexta-feira, 19 de junho, às 18h. Os kits de refeições estarão disponíveis para retirada na terça-feira seguinte, 30 de junho, na Cozinha da IGI no Airport Business Park, entre 15h e 17h.
